Beginner's Workshop

Making your own jewellery is not only great fun, it's a hobby that you can enjoy alone or with family and friends. Not only do you get to create what you want, save some money or even make a small living from producing gifts that you can sell!

This is an art that like any other creative activity, you learn to improve by dedicating some time and practice.

What you will learn

Our beginner's workshops are designed to get you started. You will be introduced to:

  • Standard tools
  • Basic skills
  • Popular components

What you will make

You will learn how to make at least:

  • a pair of earrings
  • a necklace
  • a bracelet

What you will need

All tools and materials will be provided for you to use on the day. You will be given the option to purchase your own tools or more kits. We will also bring a variety of stones, beads, wires, clasps and threads.

Workshop duration

The workshops run for two hours. There will also be a variety of reference books for you to look at and get inspiration.

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age of 10, under 16's need to be accompanied by an adult.

Please note

In order to ensure that you get the attention needed and due to the size of some of the components, we request that only children over the age of 10 years participate in our workshops. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their behaviour at all times.

Pets are not allowed to attend.

We do provide private parties for those who would like to introduce their children and their friends to jewellery making.
